Join us at the birthplace of the Mount Desert Summer Chorale for a lighthearted concert featuring favorite choruses from past MDSC concerts and songs and arias performed by our Resident Artists (click here to read their bios). MDSC Conductor Emeritus George Emlen makes a special guest appearance.

classical works by J. S. Bach, Saint-Saëns, Hüe, Previn, Pinkham, and jazz standards from the American Songbook by Cole Porter, Richard Rodgers, Lorenz Hart, George Gershwin, and Hoagy Carmichael.

carole fitzpatrick, soprano

Beloved soprano Carole FitzPatrick returns to sing with the Chorale after much-celebrated performances of music of Mozart in 2006 and the Brahms Requiem in 2008--when we celebrated our 40th anniversary. Read more about Carole FitzPatrick, and learn about her career in German opera houses, here.

Robyn rocklein, mezzo-soprano

Robyn Rocklein returns to MDSC after highly successful performances of Verdi's Requiem in 2013. She sings regularly with St. Petersburg Opera in Florida. Read more about Robyn here.

david parks, tenor

David Parks sang CREATION with MDSC in 2011 and returned for the Verdi Requiem in 2013. Recently retired from the voice faculty of Ithaca College, Parks has had a distinguished career as an opera singer, oratorio singer, and member of the Bach Aria Group. Read more about him here.
